Lettering with cress seeds

For the typography module, I planned to make some creative type by growing letters out of grass. When I realised I don't have much time, and grass takes a while to grow, I decided to try it with cress instead as it grows quicker.

Today I finally managed to get all the things I needed together and plant the cress. I wanted it to say 'plans' but then I realised it would be easier (and would still make sense) to just do 'plan' which also gave each letter more space in the trough.

Now I just have to wait and see if they grow successfully. It could be a complete disaster, and not look like letters at all, as it was quite hard to try to lay the small seeds exactly where I wanted them, but only time will tell.

Thanks for reading,

Katie Xx
