DM19

Yesterday, a group of us from Third Year travelled down to Manchester to attend DM19.

I didn't take many photos, I was very busy listening to all the amazing speakers there and carrying all the many freebies we got!

My favourite was definitely Paula Scher, who was last of the day, and she spoke about designing the Tiffany packaging which is my favourite jewellery store ever, and is very well known worldwide. Tiffany has become renowned for its iconic blue colour which Scher used on the packaging. The brand as a whole is very clean and classy (and pricey! - as I know after my recent trip to America).

The day was really fun and it was nice to hear from so many different designers and even get to meet some of them!

We also did the Extinction Rebellion workshop and it was really moving to hear their talks about the world's climate, and how designers are influencing their movement and campaign.

Thanks to Lisa for organising the trip!

Meet your Blogger

Hi! I'm Katie, studying Graphic Design at Coventry University. I am using my blog as a space where I can record my University experience, and document interesting elements of my course, and other things I find along the way. Enjoy!
