Matilda

Yesterday, I went to see Matilda with my family at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

I thought the stage adaptation was amazing. It was very creative and clever. The children playing main parts were also very impressive.

I understand why it has been getting so many positive reviews, the songs were energetic and upbeat, the sets were perfect and all the costumes were excellent.

The show was adapted differently to the book and the film in a very clever way. It wasn't so much that you didn't recognise it was supposed to be the same, just enough to make it more special and comical for both children and adults.

Each scene was perfectly crafted with a story that was gripping.

I recommend you go to see it before it finishes if you can! It will leave you feeling refreshed and very content.
