A Day in London!

Yesterday, I visited London with my boyfriend. We had been planning this trip for a while, as I wanted to go and see the stage show of 'Confidence' written by Judy Upton, who one of my favourite YouTubers, Tanya Burr, would be in. As soon as I saw she would be in it, I knew Joe would love to come too, as he loves theatre performances. We booked tickets for the show and the train in about January, and have been looking forward to it since.

Joe had planned the day full of surprises, as I have never really visited London properly so he wanted to make it a memorable day.

Firstly, he planned for us to go to 'Speedy's Sandwich Bar' which I was so so excited about as this is where Sherlock is filmed! We ate in the cafe and the food was delicious!

Then we continued our adventures, and headed onto Camden. We explored the shops there and then went to the locks and the market. At about this time, the sky literally opened, it rained and we were in the biggest thunderstorm imaginable. We ran through the streets in the rain and it was brilliant fun! (I also bought a new coat as I had dressed for the sunshine...)

Then we headed to the show, back onto the tube which I loved so much, the buzz is so exciting. The venue for the show, The Southwark Playhouse, was beautiful. I will do an in depth post about the performance as I want to speak about it more.

Then afterwards, to Joe's delight, the rain had stopped. He had planned a 'weather depending' surprise for the last part of the day, to my shock it was the London Eye! This was breathtaking and reminded me of the i360 in Brighton which we went on last year. However the view of London was just astonishing! It was such a lovely surprise for him to plan, too.

Then, we went to have a quick look at Downing St on the way to Trafalger Square, and just at the same moment, watched Theresa May be driven into the gates in a Range Rover escorted by loads of Police cars, which was slightly surreal.

Finally, we had a quick drink in 'The Admiralty' which was the best pub I have ever seen, before rushing to get the train home.

Joe had planned the best day, and I had such a great time. Here are some photos of the trip:

I also really liked the street art in London. Here is one particular piece I loved:

London was the best day ever, I loved exploring everything however it is so big, and me and Joe are planning on going back really soon, to see everything else we didn't get time to, and go back to Camden and look round without being stormed on.

Thanks for reading, I hope you liked my little glimpse of London!
