Pop Art Exhibition

This morning I managed to pop into the Pop Art Exhibition at the Herbert Art Gallery after Paula's recommendation.

The ehhibition was split into different categories, such as sexy, cheap, unforgettable etc. featuring artists such as Roy Litchenstein, Joe Tilson and Allen Jones. The exhbition would not allow photographs so I managed to buy these postcards as an example of some of the work that was there:

The exhibition was really creative and there was so much to look at and take in. The bright colours in so many of the pieces reminded me of the energy I want my project for Paula to have.

Looking at this energetic style of art - energetic, bold, colourful - is important for my project as thats what I want my work to radiate.

The exhibition is free and will be at the gallery until June 3rd. As I couldn't take photos to provide for the blog, go and see it while its on! Its worth an hour of your time as there is so much to see there and learn about. There is even a "dress up" area which I went in with my parents:

If you get the chance, visit!

Thanks for reading! Sorry I couldn't get more photos to show you. The exhibition is amazing, but just prohibits photography!
