Poster Design and Feedback
(Thursday 22nd) I redesigned my poster for Paula as feedback from before said it was a bit boring, which I agree with. I want the poster to be fun and exciting as that's the message I am trying to get across.
I did 2 versions which can be seen below:
The first looks more balanced as a piece, where as the second is more playful, as it looks like the speech is coming from the characters.
I sent them to Paula for her feedback and this is what she said:
"Poster 2 has a better composition, because the centre is not empty. This is coming together really nicely, but I want to see you play with it. I still get a sense of you restraining yourself and approaching this from an anxious perspective."
I took this on board and this is my next poster:
I like the way this looks as the bright colours attract more attention to the information. I have also prioritised the information, making the most important bits bigger or in a bolder typeface.
Paula gave me some verbal feedback in class today for me to continue to work on.
I didn't meet my goal for last week as I am still working on it. I only got some of the poster and the background done.
I am happy with what I have done, however. I will continue to work on it using the feedback given.
I have also started my catalogue and that is on the way to being completed.
I will post the poster again when I have done the changes. Although it is taking me much longer than I wanted, I feel like the feedback is in depth and the changes I am making will make better work. I would rather have to break the deadline and spend more time on the work rather than rush it and the work be bad quality.
Thanks for reading!
