Music and TB to Gigs
My all time favourite artist is Kate Nash. I have been to see her twice in the past at gigs with my best friend Chloe, who also loves her. The first time we went to see her we were quite young, and went because my parents took us. The second time was when she surprised me with tickets for my 18th birthday. We went alone and it was the best night. It is safe to say we have changed! Here are some photos:
The first time we went to see her, we were very young and just liked the music. I have since grew up around her songs, and the deeper feminist driven meaning has shaped me into who I am.
The first time we went to see Kate Nash, a band called The Tuts was supporting her (they can be seen in the second photo above). The are my favourite girlband. They are a badass, politically driven girl power band. I have seen them live so many times since then, and pretty much followed them round the Coventry and Birmingham area. The best time was when they came to the Godiva Festival in 2016. They are so much more confident now then when I first saw them, and have really pushed for what they believe in to come through in their songs.
I was so upset because I missed Godiva in 2017 because I was in Cape Verde and Kate Nash came there! This is the last time she came to the UK, and I don't know when she will next tour here but I definitely won't miss it!
Here are some photos of The Tuts:
As you can tell, these bands have been really influential in my life. You can check out their songs on Spotify or Apple Music.
Thanks for looking back with me!
