STUDIO

This week's word of the week is 'studio'. Phil says our studio is our little home. In this first year, GS302 is mainly where we have been based. Here are a quick few photos of our little studio:

Our studio has lots of lovely elements, we have 2 massive walls, one has a pin-board where all our work can be put up and displayed. This is helpful for critique sessions. We also have (on the opposite wall) a massive row of windows which can let in loads of natural light. I really like this as when we are drawing or doing collages the light is really helpful.

We also have a light-box. I really like this because it's in our room, for us to us to use. Everything in this room is our own and it's our little place to come and work and socialise.

I really like the fact we have this space for our own, and we do take it for granted.

I know that Joe, who does History and Politics at this uni, does not have a base room. Some days they have to go to different rooms in different buildings to have their classes and lectures. We are very lucky to have this place for ourselves. There is no hassle to move places, around buildings etc. We can also leave work here day to day and know it will be safe.

I like our studio and hope we get an equally nice space as our home next year!
